Welcome to Fujifilm Shorts
Fujifilm has announced the winners of its Fujifilm Shorts 2012 short film competition.
Winner of Best Film is THE CURSE and Adam Etherington won the Best Cinematography award for his work on THE WORLD TURNS. The winners were announced during the Rushes Soho Shorts film festival.

THE CURSE, shot on location in Morocco, tells the story of Fatine and the discovery of her affair with an older man. Fatine is hounded by a group of young children as she tries to return to her village.
THE WORLD TURNS is an atmospheric journey into the guilt of Kevin, a van driver following a fatal accident. The film follows Kevin as he begins a relationship with a waitress from a local cafe.
Oscar winning producer Gareth Unwin was impressed by the overall quality of the entries: "It was great to be asked to judge this year's Fujifilm Shorts. All of the finalists demonstrated a distinct ability to craft a narrative story, and in many cases deliver a film with a wonderful aesthetic. There was barely a cigarette paper between the finalists, and all of the entrants should be very proud of their achievements."
A limited edition DVD showcasing these 10 nominated short films is now available; please email jdeeney@fuji.co.uk to request your copy.
A trailer has also been produced; this can be viewed here
