Fujifilm Shorts 2010
Terms and Conditions
- Closing date for entries is 29 January 2010.
- There is one short film category with an open brief. All submissions must be no longer than 30 minutes. There are two awards: ‘Best Film’ and ‘Best Cinematography’. All submissions will be automatically entered into both awards.
- All submissions must be originated, in their entirety, on Fujifilm Motion Picture film only. Submissions shot on 35mm and 16mm Fujifilm Motion Picture film will both be accepted and will be judged on the content of the submission irrespective of film format used.
- All submissions must have been completed after the 1 January 2008.
- Fujifilm Shorts 2010 is open to UK residents only.
- The competition is free to enter and the number of submissions per person is unlimited.
- Foreign language submissions must be submitted with English language subtitles.
- All submissions will be received for pre-selection on DVD only. DVD submissions will not be returned to the entrants.
- A completed Fujifilm Shorts 2010 entry form must accompany all submissions. Entry forms can be downloaded from www.fujifilmshorts.com and photocopies will also be accepted.

- No responsibility can be accepted for any submissions lost, delayed or damaged in the post or elsewhere.
- Please note that entries not presented as stated in the rules will not be accepted for judging.
- Successful entrants will be notified by phone, email or by post from February 2010. A list of the selected films will be posted on the website, www.fujifilmshorts.com from March 2010.
- A panel of Motion Picture industry experts will be chosen by Fujifilm UK Ltd to judge the competition.
- Two prizes will be awarded: ‘Best Film’ and ‘Best Cinematography’. For the list of prizes, please see the ‘prizes’ page at www.fujifilmshorts.com
- Prizes are non-negotiable and are not transferable.
- Terms and Conditions apply to all prizes offered by each sponsor. The terms and conditions of each prize will be explained to you by each sponsor when your prizes are redeemed. All prizes offered by the sponsors must be redeemed before 31 March 2011.
- Future Shorts reserves the right not to offer the prize of a worldwide distribution deal if there is any conflict of interest in ownership of the distribution rights or if the winning films are deemed unsuitable for the Future Shorts worldwide distribution market. The two winning films also reserve the right not to accept the Future Shorts distribution deal prize for any reason.
- Each entrant shall be deemed to warrant that they own the entire copyright of the work submitted or that they have permission from the licensee and/or copyright owner/s for the uses and that all necessary model releases and clearances have been obtained. The entrant undertakes to indemnify Fujifilm UK Ltd in respect of any breach of the same.
- Copyright remains the property of the entrant at all times.
- Fujifilm UK Ltd reserves the right to theatrically screen, any submission, without payment, for the sole purpose and promotion of the Fujifilm Shorts competition only.
- Fujifilm UK Ltd reserves the right to publish, in any media, reviews, articles or stills from any of the nominated Fujifilm Shorts 2010 finalists, in conjunction with the Fujifilm Shorts competition only.
- Fujifilm UK Ltd reserves the right to alter or change specification of all conditions, prizes, timings or any other aspect of the competition without prior notice and as they see fit. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence can be entered into.
